Throughout the program, mentors will be giving you "quests" which you can do to familiarize yourself with what is currently possible in the Ethereum/crypto ecosystems. You may also find it useful to look at the quests lists for other topics you're interested in. You're not expected to do every quest, so pick and choose from the sections that interest you.
Many quests are intentionally vague. This is because this list isn't a mindless checklist of tasks and tutorials for you to grind out; rather, these are suggestions for ways to get more hands-on experience with crypto and ETH.
We recommend that as soon as you understand a task conceptually, you try to actually do it. For example, once you know what a "testnet" is, try obtaining public testnet eth, and try running a private local testnet. And once you've seen "ERC20" a couple of times, try deploying an ERC20 token.
Some quests require cryptocurrency/ETH for transaction fees or purchases of small digital assets.
In these quests, you'll set up a cryptocurrency wallet (or wallets!) so that you can interact with the blockchain - sending and receiving funds, and triggering smart contract execution.
